On 2 May 2026, one year before the opening of the next Bad Ragartz, the colour reveal at Bartholoméplatz in Bad Ragaz invites the public to join in marking the beginning of the 2027 anniversary year. From 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon, the exhibition colour of the 10th Bad Ragartz will be announced and the first sculpture unveiled. In a relaxed atmosphere, with complimentary refreshments, the event offers an initial moment of encounter, anticipation and visibility in the village centre.
At the heart of the occasion is the sculpture “Full Speed Ahead to the Triennale 2027” by Stephan Schmidlin. The artist already set an initial marker with a sculpture at the launch in 2023; he now builds on this and once again sets the tone for the forthcoming exhibition. The new exhibition colour will also be revealed and experienced for the first time on this day. This small event is intended to spark anticipation for the anniversary year and to show that Bad Ragartz is already on its way.
In 2027, the Swiss Triennial of Sculpture celebrates its tenth edition with the 10th Bad Ragartz, marking 27 years of art in public spaces in Bad Ragaz and Vaduz. With this anniversary edition, the Triennale reaches a significant milestone in its history and reaffirms its mission to make art freely and easily accessible to all.
There is still a little patience required until the official opening on 1 May 2027. As a small aside, Dorfart on 1 August 2026 already offers another opportunity to experience art in the village and to encounter it in a special way ahead of the Triennale.
